*"As for God, His way is perfect!" Psalm 18:30
Back when I rededicated my life to the Lord in 1988, I was truly done with this world! I’d had it! My own decisions put me in all kinds of precarious positions by now and this time even included prison. I’d even tried suicide four times without succeeding along with the life I was leading that was just a slower form of suicide. But, I knew life was over as I knew it after this arrest for selling LSD and my depression worsened. I’d had a history of depression for as long as I could remember so why not check out? But, through a friend sharing God’s word with me, I found hope! I learned that God had a plan for my life but I needed to leave things up to Him! Which I did and now after nearly 23 years of doing so I can tell you that the worst time in my life has turned into one of the best times in my life because I found Him, let Him take over and He turned my sorrow into joy! There are truly no words to thank Him enough for: Psalm 4:8 “At day's end I'm ready for sound sleep. For you, God, have put my life back together.”
Yesterday a friend shared this devotional called “Let God Choose” from dayspring.com and written by Roy Lessin. I thought it so fit this time in my life that I shared it with my husband as an example of why I’m constantly running to God in prayer! “Let God choose for you, it will be the right decision. Let God guide you, it will be the right direction. Let God plan for you, it will be in the right timing. Let God measure for you, it will be the right portion. Let God help you, it will be the right care. Let God instruct you, it will be the right teaching. Let God prepare you, it will be the right training. Let God counsel you, it will be the right perspective. Let God Fight for you, it will be the right outcome. Let God work in you, it will be the right result.” And, after all this time I’ve truly proven all of this to be right. In nearly 23 years I can honestly say that there isn’t even one thing that He hasn’t proven to be right when left up to Him!
Romans 8:26-28 (The Message) "Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God's Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don't know how or what to pray, it doesn't matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That's why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good."
Once, again, this is very heavy music but it is what has been playing in my mind the whole way through writing this: Red “Breathe into Me”.
Breathe into Me lyrics:And this is how it feels when I ignore the words you spoke to me
And this is where I lose myself when I keep running away from youAnd this is who I am when, when I don't know myself anymore
And this is what I choose when it's all left up to me
Breathe your life into me
I can feel you
I'm falling, falling faster
Breathe your life into me
I still need you
I'm falling, falling
Breathe into me
Breathe into me
And this is how it looks when I am standing on the edge
And this is how I break apart when I finally hit the groundAnd this is how it hurts when I pretend I don't feel any pain
And this is how I disappear when I throw myself away
Breathe your life into me
I can feel youI'm falling, falling faster
Breathe your life into me
I still need you
I'm falling, falling
Breathe into me
Breathe your life into me
I can feel youI'm falling, falling faster
Breathe your life into me
I still need you
I'm falling, falling
Breathe into me
Breathe your life into me!
I'm falling, falling fasterBreathe your life into me!
falling, falling, falling
Breathe into me
